Mineral and Energy Economic Research Institute, Polish Acad. SciencesThe Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences was founded in 1985. The Institute is a scientific and research unit involved in interdisciplinary research connected with a wide range of issues regarding mineral resources and the energy economy. The scope of the Institute's activities encompasses feasibility studies regarding resource extraction, the documenting, management, processing, ecology and economic assessment of the Polish mineral and energy sectors in relation to international and regional markets, deposit and financial modelling, the maintenance of databases on mineral production statistics and carrying out forecasts.
